A collaboration grows when people stay in it. A name dropped off and forgotten does not. This chart is an illustration, not a promise of pay.

Staying in the work A one-time handoff

Illustrative shape only, with no currency on purpose. It assumes one client who pays a first project in two instalments and then orders smaller follow-on work each month. Real clients vary, and many referrals never become a paid project.

If money is involved

Rules you would write down before the work starts.

Paid on cash received

Your share is calculated on money the client has actually paid and that has cleared, after refunds.

Costs written down first

If a project needs a subcontractor or a paid service, that cost is written into the proposal before it goes out and deducted before the share is calculated. No surprise deductions later.

A statement with every payment

Each transfer comes with a short statement: the invoice, the amount cleared, any agreed cost, your rate, and your share.

Tier fixed before the proposal

Which tier applies to a client is agreed in writing before the proposal goes out, so nobody argues about it after the money arrives.

What is not paid

The fine print, in large print.

Nothing is owed on a proposal the client does not pay.
Meetings, introductions, and effort that never become a paid invoice earn nothing.
Work Julian brought in himself, and people who were already talking to him, are not partner commission.
Sitting in a meeting is not the same as owning the relationship. The tier is agreed up front for that reason.
There is no base pay, retainer, or draw against future commission.

Beyond a conversation

A share of the company

Equity is not offered from this site. That conversation happens only after three separate clients have paid in full, and only in a document written by a lawyer in the country where the company is registered. There is no salary in that step either.
